As a start generation university student of Latino descent, Ive dedicated myself to improve the attribute of life of underrepresented populations in the united States. Being a crop of the Providence school system, in spite of appearance nonpareil of the closely flushed and poorest neighborhoods in Rhode Island, I was chill out able to rise higher up my surrounding and expectations placed upon me. I need witnessed how a deficiency of opportunity can negatively impact a communities most valuable natural resource, its young person. I have surviveed with youth since I was a youth. Many come from homes which are headed by single parents who work so often that they are not able to systematically monitor and guide their children.
